Quick Step Mix and Fix Kit

Quickstep Unisound Combi-Floor
Characteristics:
Unisound has been developed especially for the absorption of reflection sound, in other words the "tapping" sound that you hear when walking on laminate flooring. This sound is absorbed to a great extent by the closed cell structure of this special treated polyethyle foam. Unisound has the best sound absorbing effect when it is used on a perfectly smooth subfloor. Therefore you should always use a leveling product to make the subfloor smooth.
Laying instructions:
Lay the underlay in rows with the DPM (with the Quick-Step logo) on the top side, parallel to the laying direction of the laminated flooring. In the first row, put the DPM flap up against the wall. Afterwards you can cut off the DPM so there's only 2cm left. Install the following row next to the first. Remove the adhesive strip and fold back the DPM flap of the second row. Make sure the underlay fits together tightly (don't leave any gaps) and the DPM is attached perfectly. In the last row, put the underlay 1 cm up against the wall. To join rolls on the short side, always use a damp proof tape.

Quickstep 6mm Softboard Underlay
Installation instructions:
Uni-Softboard tiles must acclimatise in their sealed packaging together with the panels in the room for at least 48 hours. Sub-floors must be clean and dry before laying Uni-Softboard. It is strongly recommend that you use a plastic film of minimum 0.15 mm as a damp screen; both on the ground floor and on newly laid concrete. Always lay the Uni-Softboard tiles brickfashion and in 45 degrees, so that the joints of the mats never coincide with the flooring joints. When laying Uni-Softboard, leave a gap the size of 1 cm around the perimeter of the walls, pipes and other obstacles. Lay the Uni-Softboard tiles close-butted.
